And for just a few dollars more…
I know it is pretty preposterous to think that a few last-minute donations of the size I am capable of making would have an effect on the outcome of this presidential race, but like most Democrats I feel this is perhaps the most important election of my lifetime (actually, more to the point would be to say that I think this election will have the most significant effect on my children’s lives). I am also pretty appalled to see that most Bush supporters seem to be so out of touch with reality.
So, with these things in mind, I am prepared to make what will probably be my last contribution to a political campaign. The only question is where to make it. Where can I get the most bang for my Franklins at this late stage in the game? Ideally, I would like to target Ohio as much as possible, because most experts agree that whoever wins Ohio will win the election. Please make any suggestions in comments.

I made my last donation to congressional races as well. Seems like the right thing to do. Love you, Mom
Hi Sako
Al Franken says ohiodems.com His reasoning is almost identical to your own.
Hugh, thanks for the tip, but as much as I would like to see Tom DeLay booted from Congress, he’s not in Ohio.
Mom, I really can’t help but feel that the Democratic party in Ohio is hopelessly pathetic, so I really can’t bring myself to contribute money to the cogressional races there. The presidential race is the only one in Ohio that seems competitive.
Christopher, thanks, but I sure hope you meant ohiodems.org and not ohiodems.com.
I just gave generically to the Democratic Congressional Committee. Hard to believe Daschle’s seat is at risk, but then he’s been attacked by anthrax and all that already… Mood in Ohio is very positive right now. I saw a camel today in a field coming home from church. Pretty strange. Love Mom
Well, it’s not hard to believe that any Democrat’s seat is at risk in the environment Bush has created over the past four years (after all, he campaigned fiercely against the likes of Cleland and Landrieu even after they supported him on a broad range of issues, including the invasion of Iraq), which is why he has got to go.
